Hi, thank you for visiting sponsormyloans.com. Unfortunately I've decided to discontinue my attempts to make money (through direct advertising) to pay back my loans through this site. While it seemed like an awesome idea at the time (and I, along with many, many others, still think it is), it also appears that its success is running thin.

The site got a LOT of press coverage just after it launched in January of 2008 and subsequently a lot of requests from major companies (who shall remain nameless, since I'm no longer interested in promoting them!) wanting to sponsor my student loan payments in exchange for advertising space and marketing efforts. Rest assured I supposedly had separate "sponsors" lined up for March, April, May and one company wanting to sponsor June through September (in a row).

Then, when each of those months rolled around and I contacted each company repeatedly, I never heard from them again. I don't know if I was being messed with, something else came up, or -- giving the companies the benefit of the doubt -- they just couldn't afford it any longer.

Thus, I have grown frustrated beyond the point of it all being worth it. I plan on leaving the site up ('cause why not?) and I promise you that any money earned from the ads you still see on the site will go directly to my student loan repayments. I still welcome your feedback via email and, if you do represent a company interested in sponsoring my loans, I'll definitely still listen to any interest you may have (never give up hope, right?).
